You may have heard of the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comics but did you know the crossover was originally going to be a movie? With the massive success of Freddy vs Jason (116.6 million USD), they wanted to make a squeal.

 Jeff Katz who was a producer of Freddy vs Jason made film script for a different crossover he named Freddy vs Jason vs Ash (which you can view here). [If you're not sure who Ash is he's the main protagonist of the Evil Dead movies].

 Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger Actor) was enthusiastic on the idea but the others were not so. Bruce Campbell (Ash Actor), felt that he'd have no creative influence over ash in the film eventually refused the project. 

Because of this they made the well regarded Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comics you know today.
